Human ethics in research

Does your study involve human participants who are particularly vulnerable or unable to give informed consent (e.g., children, people with learning difficulties, patients, people receiving counselling, people living in care or nursing homes) or participants who are in a subordinate position to the researcher (e.g. students being supervised by the researcher)?

If so, you need to apply for a Research Ethics approval as introduced by the Human Research Ethics Committee. The application form is available via the Blackboard.
