Establish relations with the press

Learn how to deal with the press and other media. Newspapers, radio, TV: they contact you sometimes directly for an interview. It is important to tell the public just how great science is, but also to reach partners who could be important for your research. It's not always easy to give a good interview. The Press Relations/Science Information Officers can help you.
The Science Information Officers  (Dutch: Wetenschapsvoorlichting) can also help you with questions about:
·  Actively approaching press and media
·  Providing a media training course so you can practise giving interviews. Get in touch with them before a scheduled interview if you need advice or a sparring partner
·  Preparation of opinion publications or respond to current events
·  Coming in contact with specific external audiences (for example politicians)
